Check out the new 4 cubic foot model 110. This unit is AC/DC with advanced electronic temperature control and utilizes  the efficient and dependable Danfoss compressor system.

  • Espar - The Hydronic 24, 82,000 btu hot water heater, has been introduced into the North American market

  • AGM Batteries from Energy 1
Smaller - Lighter - Sealed - Marine Deep Cycle Batteries.
If you have limited space and weight is a problem for adding more battery capacity, these batteries may have the configuration that would allow you to achieve your upgrade plan. Imagine 420 ah in the same space as 1 - 200 ah 8D battery. These batteries can be installed on their sides or ends to maximize the available space. (not inverted) See a reprint of an article from Nor'Westing Magazine.

  • UEI Test & Measurement Tools - See the newly added section on test equipment, temperature and combustion analyzers

  • Isolation Transformers - Charles Industries has just introduced 2 new Marine Isolation Transformers. The  new models have all of the protection features of their other Marine Isolation Transformers. Lower prices have been a result of a less expensive powder coated steel case instead of aluminum and a less expensive method of making the electrical connections. These models are priced at almost 50% less than their other models with the same electrical capacity, which are still available.

  • Vesta Dishwasher Compact and efficient can be used as a counter top unit or built in.

  • Cruisair Check out the expanded information on Marine Air Conditioning

  • Pacer Marine Marine Quality tinned electrical wire. This manufacturer produces a super flexible tinned Marine Quality electrical wire at a very low competitive price. Because we purchase directly from the manufacturer our prices can be as much as 40 to 50% less than some other brands with similar specifications.

  • cubic foot Nova Kool refrigerator  Nova Kool 9000 Now Available - this new model has the largest capacity of any unit designed to fit into the most common opening for upright 2 door refrigerators. 6.6 cubic feet in the refrigerator section and a generous 2.5 cubic foot refrigerator.

  • Frigoboat has incorporated a "Smart" automatic speed control into all of their refrigeration systems. Coupled with the new Danfoss BD50F compressor and state of art electronic controls, along with other features, there are no comparable brands available for the do-it-yourself installer.

  • Electro Guard has introduced a new impressed current corrosion protection system for larger boats. With this automatic system you do not require any zinc anodes. The system is fully automatic and has indicators to let you know the status and operation of the system.

  • Side by Side Refrigerator/Freezer from Nova Kool This new model has an increased volume of 6.4 total cubic feet with a 4.3 cubic foot refrigerator section and a 2.1 cubic foot freezer.

  • Hydrocaps for batteries with 1/4 turn caps are now available. Hydrocaps reduce the schedule for adding water to the battery to about once a year. A Hydrocap is a catalytic gas recombiner than converts hydrogen and oxygen gasses into pure water. The Hydrocap is only 2" tall so in most installations height should not be a problem.

  • Water-Miser battery cap/safety-vent with flip top for filling. This battery cap fits in place of a 1/4 turn cap. The escaping gasses flow through a moisture return medium during the charging cycle and reduces electrolyte loss and the need to water the battery as often. The cap is only 1" tall and has a flip up top to make it a lot easier to top off the cells.

  • Newmar Electrical components including sine wave inverters, Inverter/chargers, battery chargers, electrical panels, meters, electrical system monitors, circuit breakers, galvanic isolators and other quality marine electrical system installation components.

  • Looking for a 32 volt battery charger? How about DC to DC chargers? Check out the models available from Analytic Systems.

  • Espar released 2 new heater models with an all new design. They are called Airtronic and are available as the Hot Air models -  Airtronic 2 at 7,500 btu's (1800 watts) output and the Airtronic 4 at 13,650 btu's (4000 watts). The new Airtronic  units feature multi level output, lower current draw, more efficient burning, they are smaller, have fewer parts, easier to service and are more intelligent. For a more detailed description of these heaters just click here.

  • Check out the high efficiency refrigeration conversion systems from Frigoboat. These Danfoss powered units are using a "keel cooler" to condense the refrigerant instead of a fan. Frigoboat water cooled systems are up to 20% more efficient than comparable air cooled systems. Many options allow you to customize a system for your application. Competitively priced. Just introduced is a larger capacity system. (see below also)
  • Check out the spacious RS7500 under the counter, side x side refrigerator and freezer. This model has 7.5 cubic feet of storage space, interior light and with the Danfoss Compressor system it is silent.

Another new model is the RF45704. This unit is 4.3 cubic feet and is a single door under the counter with a Ice Cube / Freezer compartment. This model will slip right into the opening of the older Norcold models DE704 and has an additional .5 cubic foot of space.
  • Frigomatic refrigeration conversion systems recently introduced a new type of water cooling for maximizing the efficiency over the more well known water cooling requiring a water pump. The water cooling is accomplished by routing the refrigerant outside the boat and through a sea water resistant tube which transfers the heat into the external water. The water cooling assembly is called a "Keel Cooler". ( I guess because it is located somewhat near the keel.) The external dimensions are about 7" long, 3" wide and 1" thick. The "Keel Cooler" in built into a grounding plate for electronics, similar to a Dyna-plate.

The current draw at normal cycling temperatures is under 5 amps. A normal air cooled or pump operated water cooled system would draw up to 1 amp more than the keel cooled.
Plus the problems associated with water pumps are eliminated.
  • For the boat with an aluminum out drive there is a new impressed current corrosion protection system from Electro Guard. This system has been under development and testing for the last 3 years and is now available. Imagine no more zinc's to replace and this system will tell you if it is working properly or if there is a problem. Simple installation.
  • For the ultimate protection against stray current corrosion that is made possible when plugged into shore power, Charles Industries has introduced the first production "Marine Isolation Transformers". They are smaller and less costly than any that are true "Marine" isolation transformers which meet the USCG and ABYC specifications.
