BatteryMINDers® are the new generation of SMART, pulse type
"computer-on-a-chip" chargers, that safely charge and maintain all size / type /
brands of batteries including starter, deep cycle and sealed types including AGM
“dry” made by OPTIMA, ODYSSEY, EXIDE, INTERSTATE, et al. They do all of this
without ever overcharging, no matter how long they are left on charge –

Every element known to man has
a magnetic moment at a resonant frequency i.e.,
a point at which the chemical bonds that hold the molecules together to form a
crystal can be broken. Sulfation, the number one cause of early battery failure,
is simply crystals of lead sulfate (PbS04) which have formed on the lead
storage plates in a lead-acid type battery.
When a battery is improperly
charged (over of under) or allowed to self discharge, as occurs during storage
or extended non-use, these crystals build up on the battery's storage plates
preventing the battery from ever being able to absorb a full charge and
therefore never capable of delivering full power. These formations are known as
"Sulfation" (sul-fay-
shun), universally
acknowledged as the major cause of diminishing performance and early battery
failure. These crystals act as a
resistor, preventing the battery from storing energy from a charging source or
giving up their energy to power a load.
VDC Electronics, Inc. has
created a safe and simple, but very highly effective, method of generating the
required resonant frequency pulses to safely dissolve these lead sulfate
crystals (PbS04). This allows the molecules of sulfuric acid to return to the
battery's electrolyte. By creating a pulse type waveform (with the required
frequency range needed to dissolve both old and newly formed crystals),
coupled with a very fast rise time and a high amplitude pulse, more energy is
developed to dissolve sulfation than by any other method believed to exist. On
February 6,
2001 this unique approach was
granted a U.S. Patent.

Note: Not every battery is a candidate for re-conditioning due
to mechanical damage, due to vibration contamination, which has
caused its cells to be "shorted". If, however, a 12 volt battery has
a resting voltage of at least 1 O.5V and none of the 6 cells are
shorted, de-sulfation of its plates can be accomplished.

Lead-sulfate
is created when a battery is discharged. Then, when charged, in principle all
the Lead-sulfate
converts back to its component materials --- lead, lead dioxide and sulfuric
acid. However, as batteries age, Lead-sulfate
crystallizes on the surface of the electrode plates. This non-conductive
material coating the surface of the electrode plate causes a reduction in the
surface area needed for electro-chemical reactions of the battery. It also
reduces the batteries' component materials (lead and acid) needed for the
reactions. Sulfated batteries are often replaced prematurely and unnecessarily.
Nanopulser applies a weak but sharp electrical pulse that inhibits the buildup
of hard Lead-sulfate
crystals while gently decomposing the crystals without damaging the battery
plates.
With Nanopulser installed, batteries maintain a high capacity as well as a
maximum lifecycle.

Nanopulser revives old sulfated batteries.
If the old battery is not physically damaged but suffering from buildup of hard
sulfation, Nanopulser will regenerate the battery by decomposing the hard
sulfate gently and slowly. Continued use will inhibit further sulfation build-up
and maximize the battery life. The length of the battery life depends on the
condition of the battery when Nanopulser was installed. Later, when the battery
finally fails, remove the Nanopulser and install on a new battery. This will
prevent sulfation build-up from the beginning and assure the manufacturer's
specified or intended lifespan and possibly extend it beyond.

Automobile
Nanopulser preserves a high CCA rating for the starter battery for many years.
Vehicle's electrical equipment will operate at a higher voltage. Electric
windows operate more powerfully when closing and opening. Radio sounds loud and
clear. Headlights are brighter.
Marine Vessels
For marine usage, batteries sulfate fast because marine vessel batteries are
usually in discharge cycle off shore. It would be common sense to use Nanopulser
for conditioning the batteries. A case study showed an increase in the capacity
of a battery in two weeks. This battery had lost capacity and was experiencing
difficulty in starting the engine. However, after two weeks of treatment with
Nanopulser, the battery capacity came back and the battery was starting the
engine without a problem. Please be aware that using Nanopulser does not relieve
you from regular recommended battery maintenance.
Recreational Vehicles
R.V. deep cycle batteries also do not last long because they are usually left
unattended for long periods of time. Sulfation caused by natural discharge is
very hard. This super-hard sulfation is the worst kind of sulfation.
Material Handling application - Forklift Batteries
In warehouse and business situations batteries are usually kept on a good
maintenance schedule and fully charged. However the batteries typically fail
after 4 to 6 years depending on battery quality and how well the maintenance was
done. In the situation where maintenance is a problem, Nanopulser would be very
useful. Also, even with a good maintenance schedule, we believe there is a small
amount of hard sulfation that can NOT be decomposed by regular equalization
charge. This very hard sulfation crystal can be decomposed by Nanopulser to
maximize the life of the batteries. Even with meticulous maintenance, Nanopulser
will help assure the good condition of the battery as a preventive measure. In
addition, batteries will accept more charges and operation hours between charges
will be kept longer for years.
