Ancor Electrical Wire and Fittings

ANCOR’s primary Boat Cable is made to American Wire Gauge standards which means up to 12% more tinned copper conductors than SAE wire. Our special vinyl insulation provides greater cold bending ability, heat shock, water resistance, flame resistance and chemical resistance than the General Purpose Thermoplastic found in other wire. Our UL and CSA approved Type 3 stranding resists fatigue failure. ANCOR supplies a full line of Marine Grade™ primary (single conductor) wire in sizes from 18 AWG (0.8 mm2 ) to 10 AWG (5.0 mm2 ), in all ABYC recommended colors, and in standard lengths from 8 foot mini-spools to 1,000 foot bulk spools. All of ANCOR’s wire and cable is Made in the USA.

Connectors and Terminals

ANCOR supplies a full line of nylon insulated, tinned copper terminals for the highest quality electrical system. ANCOR Marine Grade™ terminals differ from "automotive" terminals by being designed specifically for the harsh marine environment. Our nylon insulators are easy to crimp and will not split. Our barrels are designed to tightly grip the wire with the least effort. Our tinned copper gives the least electrical resistance but the most corrosion protection.

Heat Shrink Products

ANCOR supplies a full line of Adhesive-Lined Heat Shrink Products to environmentally seal electrical connections. Both the Adhesive Lined Heat Shrink Tubing (ALT) and the Adhesive Lined Heat Shrink Connectors (ALC) insulate and protect connections from mechanical abuse, wire pullout and abrasion. The heat activated adhesive melts and flows under pressure from shrinking to create a seal which resists salt water, oil, gasoline, and other environmental contaminants.

Cable Ties, Clamps & Mounts

ANCOR offers a full line of Cable Ties and Cable Clamps manufactured from the toughest of materials, pure virgin nylon 6/6. This Marine Grade™ nylon is insoluble in common solvents, alkalies, dilute mineral acids, most organic acids and most petrochemicals. ANCOR Marine Grade™ Cable Ties and Cable Clamps are constructed with either natural or ultraviolet resistant black nylon in both standard and mounting head styles.

Lamps

ANCOR Mini Lamps & Standard Base Lamps hold up to the harsh marine environment. Their nickel-plated brass bases prevent corrosion while insuring a positive point-of-contact. Their filaments, which have a "rough service" design, permit hours of reliable burning. While both styles of lamps have heavy duty glass envelopes for break resistance, the Standard Base Lamps are additionally frosted on the inside for glare reduction. Available in various configurations, these lamps have been tested for dependability.

Circuit Breakers, Switches & Accessories

ANCOR Circuit Breakers provide reliable automatic circuit protection, power switching, and circuit control. ANCOR Circuit Breakers are not affected by temperature, age, or even by repeated exposure to overloads. Designed to ignore nuisance trips, these breakers also provide a trip-free safety mechanism which cannot be held closed during over current or fault conditions. Constructed with the highest grade stainless steel springs and specially plated sub-components, ANCOR Circuit Breakers are corrosion resistant.
